2018 Summer Kids and Teens Cooking Camps
Registration is now open for kids’ and teen’s summer cooking camps! These programs provide an opportunity for budding chefs to get comfortable and have fun in the kitchen, working with recipes geared for their age group. Kids Can Cook! Kids cooking classes have been developed to inspire excite and feed the curiosity of your growing Chef. The young chefs will have the opportunity to cook & have fun in the kitchen. They will be introduced to cooking, vocabulary & techniques, tools and utensils, basics of etiquette, nutrition, safety in the kitchen, math and new foods
Kinder Cooks (3-6 years): Let your young chefs have fun in the kitchen over summer break! An outstanding course designed for your 3 to 6 year olds to attend (together with their older siblings) on Wednesday and Friday from 11am to 2:00pm Kinder Cooks will enjoy making meals together, learning and developing new skills, trying new foods and making new friends and exploring new foods, while following recipes geared for their age group.
Junior Chefs (7 to 13 years) this course gives the Junior Chefs the opportunity to experience a variety of cooking methods as they create delicious meals. They will measure and mix ingredients, use a variety of kitchen tools, follow recipes, learn the basics of etiquette and nutrition. In this fun, four-day camp, starting on Tuesday to Friday weekly from 10am to 3:00pm Junior Chefs will practice essential kitchen skills and master the fundamentals of cooking focusing on measuring, mixing, working cleanly and safely in the kitchen, and exploring new foods, while following recipes geared for their age group.
Teen’s ages 14-18 are welcome to join this popular summer cooking camp. Classes run about five hours each from 10 am to 3:00pm and last for four consecutive days. (Tuesday to Friday) Teen chefs will enjoy generous samples of each delicious dish and take home a packet of recipes. Share your love of cooking and boost your teen’s confidence in the kitchen with a culinary experience they’ll never forget
Teens will enjoy working alongside classmates learning techniques for everything from grilling and searing to making pizza and pasta from scratch, food safety and more!
We place more emphasis on food in our families these days. More parents are realizing that teaching their kids to cook helps prepare them for the future. Enrolling your child in a kid or teen cooking class at The Superior Culinary Center bring them one step closer.
Each kids’ and teens’ class includes a hands-on lesson on ingredients, sanitation, organization and cooking techniques. In our kids’ classes, Kinder Cooks ages 3-6 years and Junior Chefs 7 to 13 years old learn fundamental kitchen skills, focusing on measuring, mixing, working cleanly and safely in the kitchen, and exploring new foods, while following recipes geared for their age group.
High Schoolers & College Bound Teens ages 14 to 18 years of age get to experiment with simple yet sophisticated menus that they’ll enjoy re-creating at home & college. They’ll learn the basics of knife skills, cooking and baking techniques, and organizing prep work.
Your kids will become confident in the kitchen, make new friends and of course, learn important cooking skills during our classes and camps. We will focus on following recipes, learning about ingredients, working cleanly and safely in the kitchen, and exploring new foods.

Weekly Cost: A one Time Registration fees per child is $20.00 for all 9 weeks.

Junior Chefs (7-13): Tuesday to Friday 10:00am to 3:00pm $199.00+tax
Master Chefs (14-18): Tuesday to Friday 10:00 to 3:00pm $259.00+tax

Knives: Spatula: Tongs: Mixing Spoons: Measuring Cups: Measuring Spoons: Mixing Bowls, Vegetable Peeler, Whisk, Scraper, and Rolling Pin & Pastry Brush.
Graduation is on Saturday, August 11th 2018 from 11:00am to 1:00pm on the Superior Patio. All students will receive their graduation certificate and a SCC apron & hat. All students can invite up to 4 family members for the graduation ceremony, the Iron Chef Cooking Competition and the graduation family picnic. Food and Drinks will be served; there is no cost to attend the graduation ceremony but we do need the rsvp to attend.
Our young chefs will build on skills throughout the weeks and on graduation day; they’ll create an impressive menu of restaurant-style dishes.
