Registration is now open for kids’ and teen’s 2018 summer cooking camps! These programs provide an opportunity for budding chefs to get comfortable and have fun in the kitchen, working with recipes geared for their age group

We place more emphasis on food in our families these days. More parents are realizing that teaching their kids to cook helps prepare them for the future. Enrolling your child in a kid or teen cooking class at The Superior Culinary Center bring them one step closer.

Each kids’ and teens’ class includes a hands-on lesson on ingredients, sanitation, organization and cooking techniques. In our kids’ classes, Kinder Cooks ages 3-6 years and Junior Chefs 7 to 13 years old learn fundamental kitchen skills, focusing on measuring, mixing, working cleanly and safely in the kitchen, and exploring new foods, while following recipes geared for their age group.

High Schoolers & College Bound Teens ages 14 to 18 years of age get to experiment with simple yet sophisticated menus that they’ll enjoy re-creating at home & college. They’ll learn the basics of knife skills, cooking and baking techniques, and organizing prep work.

Your kids will become confident in the kitchen, make new friends and of course, learn important cooking skills during our classes and camps. We will focus on following recipes, learning about ingredients, working cleanly and safely in the kitchen, and exploring new foods.

Weekly Cost: A one Time Registration fees per child is $20.00 for all 9 weeks.
Kinder Cooks (3-6 years): Wednesday & Friday 11:00 to-2:00pm $69.00+tax
Junior Chefs (7-13): Tuesday to Friday 10:00am to 3:00pm $199.00+tax
Master Chefs (14-18): Tuesday to Friday 10:00 to 3:00pm $259.00+tax

Student Cooking Kit: $59.00+tax
Knives: Spatula: Tongs: Mixing Spoons: Measuring Cups: Measuring Spoons: Mixing Bowls, Vegetable Peeler, Whisk, Scraper, and Rolling Pin & Pastry Brush.

Graduation is on Saturday, August 11th 2018 from 11:00am to 1:00pm on the Superior Patio. All students will receive their graduation certificate and a SCC apron & hat. All students can invite up to 4 family members for the graduation ceremony, the Iron Chef Cooking Competition and the graduation family picnic. Food and Drinks will be served; there is no cost to attend the graduation ceremony but we do need the rsvp to attend.
